OK I know other people have had this problem but nothing seems to help so I am going to include as much information as I can. I made a live account on wednesday night (2 days ago) by saying yes when it asked me if i wanted to make a live account. I was able to sign in on the xbox website but when I go to sign in on halo 2 ... First it says downloading profile, Dont close the game. After about 15 seconds it says Can't connect to live. A connection to live is not available. I can click OK or Network Information. Here is my network information.
There are 2 pc's in my house. I have a modem which is connected to a wireless router via ethernet. My dads pc is connected to the router via ethernet. My pc is connected to the router via wireless. I have a linksys wireless G USB adapter.I have updated my graphics card drivers. I will put up a dxdiag at the end. My pc has a 232gb drive split into 2 partitions. I have vista on D drive and XP on C drive (because xp is more stable so I still have it with vista just in case) All my other games work fine (but they are all on xp). I cant think of anything else to add apart from saying that I have not installed any Anti virus or firewall tools. I have also disabled windows firewall and windows defender. I tried microsoft email help but when it asked for product id it said it was incorrect but it was not. I have installed the latest halo and live updated manually from the halo 2 site.
