Halo 2 Vista Campaign Problems- Please Check Out.

Hey guys. I have had Halo 2 Vista since it came out and the online is great and it was all I did. Now, I am trying to get all of the achievements. So, I started up the campaign and...HUH!? The game play is sooo choppy.

My computer far exceeds the system requirements, so my Specs are not the problem. The online runs beautifully, but the campaign is so slow and unsmooth. I also tried running it in windowed, no help. Please help me out; my campaign is not running smooth for some reason. Any ideas?

Play with vSync settings, especially in your drivers. Usually turning it on will help somewhat.

    Conroe 2.4GHz 4MB Cache, 2GB 4-5-4 DDR2-800 Dualchannel, GeForce 7900 GT
    LG 20.1" HDCP-compliant TFT-LCD, Logitech G15, X-Fi Platinum
SATAII WD 320GB 16MB Cache, SATA Raptor 74GB, PATA 250GB Caviar, Asus P5W DH

Check your framerate. Use the FRAPS application for that. If it's above your monitors refresh rate, you'll need to enable Vsync as the poster above me suggests. If it's under about 25fps, you're either low on system RAM and/or video card power/memory. The campaigns are always heavier than multiplayer, because the map sizes, dialogue, visual effects, scripts and models are far more complex.

    My system is the following:

    Intel Core 2 Duo E4500
    2Gb DDR2-533mhz
    Nvidia Geforce 9600GT 512Mb GDDR3

With it, i get up to ~200fps in the campaign, but i get horrific amounts of screen tearing because my monitor is only updating at around 75fps (called hz in PC talk). So, enabling Vsync, that went away and it now looks far better.
