Yes it was a patch. If you cant join any games, the people who own the servers need to install the patch.

At least it gives some more options at the least, I hope we can expect more in the future

    Patch? What? Where?
    *Goes to start Halo 2*

    *EDIT*
It was infact an update, though I'm a little short on the details as to what was updated, but you can see in the Settings->About menu that the version number has changed from 1.03.129 to 1.04.129
    (Or something like that)

i think it was a halo patch and live update, as both parts where seen during the install, love the 1440x900 it all looks right now

    Re: was that a patch

I was hoping for an update like that, sitting here with my 1440 x 900 monitor and having to use a lower res.

Hoping for an update on game controllers.  I have one that works, all but the right thumbpad.  Somehow Halo thinks that pushing up means turn left, and left means go down for looking...  All other buttons work, just not the looking thumb because it only cares for Xbox controllers I guess.

    Re: was that a patch

After some further testing I've found out these three things:

-The Crouch while moving bug is still there.

-The keyboard tweaking settings are still bugged.

-No Optimization were made to make the experience more fluid.

So, what have you guys found out? Apart from the one resolution more?
Maybe this was just a warming up patch? You know, to set some things ready for the bigger changes?

    Re: was that a patch

I was sort of thinking that as well. I'd expected more in a patch than just one more screen resolution.

Could be a warm up patch to prepare for whats to come (Lets hope thats VERY soon), otherwise, not very helpful for a patch.

    Re: was that a patch

Yeah we need a server-update as well, nowhere to be found though... figures.

    Re: was that a patch

It took them 5 months to get a patch out that supports 1440x900?

    wow.

    I hope that's not it.

I suspect wide screen monitors weren't as important as trying to fix bugs in a console to desktop game.

    Re: was that a patch

Hey, what were the changes in the Xbox patch version? Maybe they brought them into this update?

Two things for this, I updated my old trackball to a new mouse and that helped a little. But also, the real trick is with the video card drivers. Keeping them updated eliminated the mouse problems I was having.

Now, where is the Dedi server download file so we can patch our servers...  hmmmm
