Lol but seriously yeah where are you Bum? Or anyone? Why is Microsoft keeping us out of the loop? They release a patch but no info on what has changed? Why can't they even throw us a bone?

    Re: Where art thou Bum?

    Its called they dont care.

Take that in, digest, marinate, internalize, but believe me its true.

Some other are disgusted as well, thus The Buyers Remorse for H2V letter. http://www.h2vista.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6854

I am surprised someone didnt post this here already.  If that doesnt get someones attention at MS... nothing will.

    Re: Where art thou Bum?

Sorry Caboose, I didnt see that.  I honestly dont read here much due to the total lack of attention from the dev team.  Just trying to share, what I thought was only my horrid disgust in this game.
Seems others feel the same way.

    Re: Where art thou Bum?

    No worries.
It's a shame if microsoft completely throws all Halo 2 Vista support out of the window,
They should still give it a chance, maybe if they'd just listen to the community then MAYBE they could salvage something out of this mess.

    Re: Where art thou Bum?

Why is it people use 'where art thou' when they have no clue what it means....?

    Re: Where art thou Bum?

    Ummm.... Because it sounds cool?

And why are you so sure that no one knows what it means?

I do know what it means, but it sounded completely good to fit the setence.

When Halo PC's first patch came out, didn't they provide us with the release notes at least?

I hope Bum hasn't left us. He's done so much for us and now look.

    Re: Where art thou Bum?

But I can't really blame him, I mean look; we are the only active members on this forum!
It's really weird since this is HALO 2.... Why doesn't it have more fans supporting it?

    Re: Where art thou Bum?

I can tell you why the online community is so poor.

    1. The game tier multiplayer system is just horrible with the limitations and the server tools are no good.

    2. It's Vista only.

Bum speaketh: Sorry that i haven't been very active lately. I don't want to "abandon" you guys, but I am on a new project and it's keeping me busy (like a bee). Sometimes I don't reply to certain threads, like the Buyer's Remorse thread for example, because I have a feeling I would end up ranting and get myself in trouble. The best I can do is say that we feel your pain. It's probably a lot harder for you guys to feel ours.

I do read every PM I get, and i'll try to be better about replying in a timely manner.

    Re: Where art thou Bum?

Yea we don't blame you all for having a very shotty product; most people (myself included) tend to commend you specifically because you're willing to put your face on your product. Within the first couple of days you gave me your email address to have direct correspondance based on the number of issues found in the game. Its very rare to find even real salespeople who believe in the handshake ethic.

You're always very candid in pointing out that there is a problem; that is a quality I commend. The true problem is the vast amount... and the lack of support for them. While we realize there is only so much a small team can do, particularly for a game which isn't even theirs; there should have been at least some effort made towards fixing them. Re-enabling the frame limiter which already was installed to allow for a cap of 30FPS is something that shouldn't take 6 months (and still nothing) to complete. Depending on how jittery the framerate is for various people, it could have made the game unplayable.

The truth is -- no matter how much pain we feel of each other's... Halo 2 Vista is shelfed (yes that is spelt correctly). It just was not a good product. When a product is just plain not good... people will tend to blame the most obvious people responsible. It doesn't mean we don't understand your pain... it just means that it will be harder to accept future products. In the back of our minds there always will be that "Jee, should I put down another 50$ on this too? That last time... ehh..."

Its something that will need to be overcome... and frankly its not to be unexpected.

Don't misinterpret complaints as personal attacks (except by the usual suspects), we want this product to be good more than anyone. Obviously, of course, we put down the 50$ investment on it. That's how money works.
