I got Halo 2 PC in the mail yesterday and when I went to install it.. nothing happens.
The first time around it said there was a compatibility issue because I
hadn't run a Windows Experience Index for it (I did in March), and
clicking Run or Don't Run did the same thing: The program just closed.
So I ran an updated W.E.I. and tried to install again, pointing to where
I wanted to install and such and after clicking Continue.. nothing.
The program closed without any error or any indication of something
wrong. :/ I called MS Customer Support and after getting on Easy
Assist the tech noticed that the disc doesn't have a setup.exe, so after
all said and done he's putting in an order for another copy because I
had a bad disc.
Decided to look around and torrent sites and managed to find one with a
list of files and I didn't see setup.exe anywhere, just startup.exe
(which is on my disc).
I'll post a DxDiag later if requested (I'm at work right now) but if anyone could offer some help I would appreciate it.
