  • Re: 3ds MAX

3DS Max is expensive because it's a professional tool from Autodesk. Pretty much every modable game requires some form of some Autodesk modelling program (be it 3ds Max, Maya, or XSI)... maybe Lightwave though they're still independent -- at least as independent as you can consider NewTek.So yeah, the reason why it's so expensive is simply because ...

  • Re: H2 Vista Still Terrible

Yea, that's common... the problem with Framerate-driven-gamespeed is if you have an unstable framerate... issues occur.Though vSync only helps people with computers who can pop out a framerate that is greater than their monitor's refresh rate. That's one of the reasons I was pushing for a 30FPS lock in the patch... it's much more stable even in ...

  • Re: Please Help!!

Some people do it to keep their computer at tip-top performance, though I find every 6 months to be more common.Yea it's true that you can keep Vista installed for years... but some people just collect clutter.

Nah... the same problem occured in Halo PC/CE.The engine locks gamespeed in with the framerate. Halo PC/CE fixed this by allowing a 30FPS lock mode.Mentioned it to the PR people for Halo 2 Vista within a week of its release and they said they'd include it in the patch... unfortunately Microsoft pulled the plug before that.Your problem is not ...

Yea... I likewise prefer them on the PC.However -- the comment was that there were not RTS games on consoles. As a matter of fact...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herzog_Zwei(arguably) the first RTS was on a console.

Yea we don't blame you all for having a very shotty product; most people (myself included) tend to commend you specifically because you're willing to put your face on your product. Within the first couple of days you gave me your email address to have direct correspondance based on the number of issues found in the game. Its very rare to find even ...
